Sizes and fit

How do I choose the right size?

Every product comes with a size chart listing the exact measurements in centimetres. We recommend not guessing your size, but measuring your chest, waist and hips with a tape measure and comparing them with the chart. If you are unsure, call us on +421 915 402 168 (Mon–Fri 9:00–15:00) — we will help you choose.

I am between two sizes. Which one should I choose?

It depends on how you want the clothing to fit. If you prefer a close-fitting, aerodynamic cut (running, cycling, triathlon), go for the smaller size. If you want room and comfort (gym training, leisure), go for the larger one. For compression garments we always recommend the smaller size — compression only works when the fabric really fits close to the body.

How do I measure my body correctly?

Measure yourself in your underwear, not over clothing (e.g. a sweatshirt). Measure your chest at its widest point while breathing out gently, your waist at its narrowest point (usually above the navel), your hips at their widest point, and the sleeve from the shoulder with your arm slightly bent at the elbow. Keep the tape horizontal and against your body, but not tight. It is most reliable to have someone else measure you.

Do your sizes fit the same as Nike or Adidas?

Not necessarily — size charts differ between brands and the same “L” can mean different measurements. That is why we list the actual measurements in centimetres for every product. Don't buy by the letter, buy by the numbers.

I have an atypical figure — what if no standard size fits me?

This is exactly why we exist. We sew in our own workshop in Slovakia, so we can adjust the cut to your measurements — a longer or wider torso, broader shoulders, shorter legs. Order a made-to-measure adjustment for just €5 and you can be sure the clothing will fit you. We will then call you and agree on the adjustment.

What is the difference between women's and men's cuts?

It's not just about size. Women's cuts have shaped side seams, a different chest–waist–hip ratio, different placement of bust darts and a different rise on joggers. Men's cuts have broader shoulders and a straighter line. That's why we don't recommend buying a “smaller men's” size instead of a women's one — it won't fit.

Will the clothing shrink after washing?

No. The functional materials we use do not shrink or lose their shape when you follow the washing instructions (30 °C). That's exactly why they are the standard in sport.

Materials and technology

What is your clothing made of?

Functional materials - we source knitted fabrics from European textile manufacturers, zippers from the Japanese company YKK, elastic threads from the Czech manufacturer HAGAL and elastic bands from the Czech brand PEGA. These are components that professional brands use too — and they are the reason our pieces last for seasons, not months.

What is the HypeMorph™ kinetic seam?

It is our way of routing seams so that they follow the direction of muscle movement instead of cutting across it. As a result, the seam doesn't pull, doesn't chafe and doesn't restrict your range of motion. You will feel the difference most during repetitive, long-lasting movement — running, rowing, boxing.

Why do you care so much about zippers?

Because the zipper is the most common place where sportswear fails. YKK is a Japanese manufacturer whose zippers withstand tens of thousands of cycles and don't split open under load. A cheap zipper will ruin a jacket that is otherwise perfectly fine.

Does the fabric wick sweat?

Yes. We use functional knits that wick moisture away from the skin to the surface, where it evaporates. That is the key difference from cotton, which soaks up sweat, stays wet and quickly chills you in the cold.

Will the clothing chafe during long training sessions?

No. Chafing is caused by thick or badly placed seams — which is exactly what our seam routing solves. For pieces designed for long efforts we use flat seams in critical areas (underarms, inner thighs, shoulders).

Can I wear your clothing outside of training too?

Yes, and more and more customers do. Our cuts are designed to work both in training and in everyday life.

Care and durability

How should I wash functional clothing?

Wash at 30 °C on a synthetics or delicates programme, with the garment turned inside out. Use a liquid detergent without optical brighteners. Close the zippers so they don't damage other garments in the wash. Ideally, wash within a few hours after training rather than leaving the garment sweaty in your bag.

Why can't I use fabric softener?

Fabric softener works by coating the fibres with a thin waxy layer. On cotton this feels nice, but on functional fabric it is a problem — the layer clogs the pores that wick moisture away, and the clothing stops working as it should. It also gives odour-causing bacteria something to cling to, so over time the clothing smells more, not less.

My clothing still smells after washing. What can I do?

Synthetic fibres bind body oils that ordinary detergent does not fully wash out — this creates a so-called biofilm. The solution: use special detergents for sportswear or for removing odours and bacteria + our tip - add an extra rinse with two decilitres of ordinary 8% vinegar, don't overfill the drum (maximum two thirds full) and every now and then soak the garment for an hour before washing in lukewarm water with a small amount of special detergent. Don't raise the temperature or reach for chlorine bleach — you will damage the elastane and the garment will lose its shape.

Can I tumble dry my clothing?

We don't recommend it. The heat in a tumble dryer damages the elastic fibres and the garment loses its stretch and shape. Functional fabric air-dries very quickly — hang it in the shade and it will be dry within minutes.

Can I iron my clothing?

Yes, but there is no need. Functional fabrics don't crease when dried properly, so ironing isn't necessary.

How long do the print and colour last?

With sublimation printing, which we use to make our clothing, the colour is part of the fibre, not a layer on the surface — so it doesn't peel or crack. If you follow the washing instructions, it lasts for the entire life of the garment - it is simply indestructible.

Production and brand

Where is your clothing made?

In Slovakia, in our own workshop. We are not a reseller putting our logo on goods from Asia — we design the cuts, buy the materials and sew the pieces ourselves. This means we guarantee the quality directly, not through three links of a supply chain.

How exactly is the clothing made?

We buy white functional fabric - knit. First we cut the fabric, then we sublimate (dye) the individual panels, and only then do our seamstresses sew the already dyed panels together. Finally, we inspect and pack every finished piece.

Why is Slovak production more expensive?

Because we pay Slovak wages, buy European materials and carry out quality control on every single piece, not on a statistical sample. The price difference is real and we won't pretend otherwise — but there is also a difference in how many seasons the piece will last you and how it fits.

Do you have goods in stock, or do you sew only after an order?

With a few exceptions, we sew our goods - clothing only after an order is placed. That way we don't create waste from unsold pieces, because the sustainability of our production is essential to us. We sew only what someone really needs, not piles of clothing that end up in landfills. Yes, our customers have to wait a little for their quality clothing, 21 days at most, but we usually surprise them with earlier delivery. Anyone who needs the goods sooner can add express production to their order and will receive their piece within 3 - 7 days.

Who designs your cuts?

We develop our cuts in-house and test them on real athletes, not on a mannequin. We work with ambassadors from athletics and other sports who give us feedback from real-world use — and we adjust the cuts accordingly.

For clubs, schools and companies

What is the minimum quantity for a club order?

We have no minimum order quantities. We sew from a single piece.

How does a club order work, step by step?

The order works as follows: 1. Enquiry and consultation (we visit you in person with samples and discuss what you need) → 2. Quotation (we prepare a quote for the specific clothing and number of pieces) → 3. Graphic design (we create it for you free of charge and send it to you for review, adjusting it based on your comments if needed) → 4. Design approval (after the adjustments we agree on the final design together) → 5. Size collection (you send us the sizes you need us to make. If you need to try the sizes on, we will bring them to you for a fitting) → 6. Production (based on the approved design and the sizes you submitted, we start production once the invoice has been paid) → 7. Delivery (we deliver the goods no later than 21 days after the invoice is paid and the order confirmed).

Will I get a preview of what the jersey will look like before production?

Yes, always. No order goes into production without your written approval of the design. You will receive a preview showing the placement of logos, names, numbers and colours — and you have room for comments. However, once the design is approved and production has started, changes are no longer possible, so please check the design carefully.

Can I order more pieces later when a new player joins?

Yes, we will make additional pieces and top up your clothing collection from a single piece, with no time limit.

How long does it take to produce a club order?

We produce the order within 21 days at most. If you need it sooner, call us on +421 915 402 168 (Mon–Fri 9:00–15:00) — we will find a solution.

Can you handle sponsor logos, player names and numbers?

Yes, including placement according to competition rules. We need your logos in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) — if you only have an image, we can redraw it. Redrawing a logo or designing a new one costs €30. We will then email you the logo in curves and it becomes your exclusive property.

Can we get a sample before placing a bulk order?

How do we organise size collection for the whole team?

We recommend ordering a sample size set to try on (it comes in various designs, but its cut and sizing match what you want to order) — players try it on at training and report their size. This is far more reliable than everyone guessing based on a T-shirt they have at home. We can lend you the trial set for 7 days free of charge. A longer period is charged at €5 per day.

Can you make us a replica of a professional club's jersey?

No. The designs of professional clubs and brands are protected by copyright and trademarks. We will gladly create your own design that belongs to your club — and no one else will have it.

Do you also make corporate clothing?

Orders, shipping and returns

How long does delivery take?

Goods we have in stock are shipped immediately, at the latest on the next working day after we receive the order. Goods made to order are delivered within 21 days of ordering. If you need them sooner, you can add express production with delivery within 3 - 7 days directly to your order on the product page, for a fee of €10.

How much does shipping cost?

We deliver goods through reliable courier and delivery services, or with our own driver. Courier to your address - shipping costs €5.60. Delivery within Slovakia takes 1-2 working days after the parcel is collected by the courier. For other EU countries the price is set individually. Delivery time within the EU is 3-6 days after the parcel is collected by the courier. AlzaBox - shipping costs €3.50. Delivery within Slovakia takes 1-2 working days after the parcel is collected by the courier.

Can I return made-to-measure goods?

Can I exchange goods for a different size?

If the goods were not made to measure or personalised, you can exchange them for a different size under the following conditions: Condition of goods: The goods must be unused, unworn (except for trying on), in their original condition, with the original tags and with all accessories.

What if my goods arrive damaged or don't match my order?

Contact us as soon as possible at hypedress@hypedress.sk or on +421 915 402 168, and include your order number and a photo. We will sort it out right away — a mistake on our side is our problem, not yours.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for goods by cash on delivery, by payment card, or by invoice with bank transfer in advance.

Will you issue an invoice for a club or company?

Yes, including payment by invoice in advance for club and company orders.
